This was a renovation in Bowden of an old un-used coach house, into a self-contained one bedroom house.
This customer from Bowden had a coach house in their grounds which they used as storage space, and wanted it turning into a guesthouse but retain its original charm.
The floor had to be broken up and removed to allow for a new slab to bring it up to current regulations, then the building was fully tanked and framed to allow for insulation to make this a habitable dwelling. Gas and water supplies had to be run to the coach house and new drains added to allow for the new bathroom and kitchen.
The 1st floor and stairs were removed and new chamber joists installed, we then fitted the new Oak staircase and moved into a central position to make them a feature of the new open plan living space. A new combination boiler was installed and the whole ground floor had underfloor heating. New wooden windows and a stable door were fitted to keep with the original period of the couch house.
